Artists take over the 21st police precinct in New York

Yesterday I visited the building of the former 21st police precinct in Manhattan which had about 9,500 arrests annually before closing down in 1914. Since then it has been empty for a long time. The new owner plans to build luxury condos but let artists take over the building before it will be knocked down later in August. Everything from the stairwells over bathrooms to the normal offices got painted and sprayed by a variety of different artists.
